Maurya dynasty

                  Maurya Dynasty

The Maurya dynasty was a significant ancient Indian dynasty that ruled from 321 to 185 BCE. It was founded by Chandragupta Maurya, who overthrew the rule of the Nanda dynasty and established the Mauryan Empire, which covered much of the Indian subcontinent and parts of Central Asia.
The empire was one of the largest and most powerful in ancient India and was characterized by its administrative, military, and economic achievements. The most famous ruler of the Maurya dynasty was Ashoka the Great, who converted to Buddhism and is remembered for his humanitarianism and support of Buddhist institutions. The Maurya dynasty ultimately declined due to a combination of weak leadership, administrative problems, and invasions by foreign powers.
